I fear that if we do not balance the fast lane
with recovery time
We will get to the end of the road
with Regrets
that it happened too quickly
and the quality of the Life we aspired to
has slipped through our experience.
We haven’t taken Rest seriously enough,
or joyfully enough.
It has been trivialized
and underestimatedand
I am afraid
it waits its time
for those who are tired enough,
ill enough,
frustrated enough:-
to explore its possibilities.
They will then encounter it as
a source of added value
with life and beauty,
energy, innovation and creativity.
What a silver lining.
It is both a Science,
a biochemical essential
and an Art,
a creative process.
You will realise ‘burning out’ or ‘rusting out’ are dismal options.
