THANK YOU to all those who came and talked to me at Gordonton today.
Each market day has a flavour of its own.
And today I talked to quite a few people who breathed fast. I.e. normal breathing is usually at a rate of around 10-14 breaths a minute, but they were storming along in the 20’s! – such hard work – and it produces the sensation of not being able to get a satisfiying breath.
So I talked about a normal breathing pattern, and have just done a short article on it if you would like to know some more. Click on the blue phrase to see it – Breathing pattern – the bit that Changes Everything.
A clue:-
it is all about the ability to move between these
2 styles!
Hi Ros,
I was one of those who met you at Gordonton that day and purchased you book REST.
Having suffered with asthma in the past I have tended to breath through my mouth rather than my nose. As you showed me how to breath more gently but deeper through my nose using the lower part of my diaphram I found that I was more relaxed in my breathing.
I have read your book several times now and have obtained more books to give to my friends.
Thank you so much
Bob Drew, visitor from England.
Good comments Bob. It is great to hear that such simple techniques can make your breathing feel easier. As you do more nose breathing I hope you experience other benefits too, e.g. your mouth doesn’t dry out, your gums are healthier and food can even taste better when you use your nose more.
